This is a non-auditioned vocal ensemble dedicated to continued musical excellence and achievement. This program meets daily and will perform at least 3 concerts during the year.  The purpose of this chorus is to provide a basic foundation for quality choral singing, musical skills and knowledge.

Course Objectives/ Performance Standards:

• Singing, alone and with others, a varied repertoire of music 

• Helping students learn techniques that will facilitate a proper choral sound.

• Providing a medium to perform the techniques learned.

• Improvising melodies, variations, and accompaniments

• Encouraging students to realize the importance of teamwork, self discipline and positive thinking. 

• Develop leadership skills.

• Composing and arranging music within specified guidelines

• Reading and Notating Music

• Listening to, analyzing, and describing music

• Evaluating music and music performances

• Understanding relationships between music, the other arts, and disciplines outside the arts

• Understanding music in relation to history and culture
