Rome Middle School Football vs Carrollton Recap
Rome’s sixth, seventh and eighth grade football teams were all in action at Barron Stadium, as all three squads opened up play in the Georgia Middle School Athletic Association on Saturday, Aug. 27.
All three teams faced Carrollton’s squads. The sixth grade team romped to a 28-0 win to grab their first victory of the season. The seventh grade team fought hard but lost a super-close contest to the Trojans 24-22. The eighth grade squad also played well but fell to Carrollton 36-8. The Trojans play in Division A, Region 2 while all three Rome squads play in Division B, Region 2 in their respective age groups.
