Big news from RMS...in the Knowledge Master Open, RMS finished 2nd in the entire nation! The Knowledge Master Open is a computerized competition where students work together to answer 100 questions from across the academic curriculum as quickly as possible. So proud of Coach Hatcher and our students!

Parents of current 6th and 7th graders who are interested in STEM for the 26-27 school year. There will be a parent informational meeting on January 27 @ 6:00 in the RMS cafeteria.

We are so excited about our upcoming PBIS event. Students will be able to go ice skating if they meet the qualifications. The cost is $10. Students can give $10, permission slip, and waiver to Mrs. Hindman. A link to pay online has also been sent out through School Status.

Coming up in December, the RCS Parent University has a number of free classes available to our families at the Parent Resource Center. See flyer for more details.

Want to hear some joyful holiday songs to prepare for the season? Rome Middle Chorus will be performing in a joint Winter concert with Rome High School's choirs. This will be a free concert on Monday, December 15th at 7:00pm at the RHS Performing Arts Center. We can't wait to see you there!

The Rome High & Middle FFA chapters will be selling beautiful poinsettias for $20 The Tuesday before Thanksgiving from 2 to 5pm and then the Tuesday after Thanksgiving . To help us prepare and ensure we have enough available, please take a moment to complete the interest form below.

Rome Middle School has been recognized two consecutive years by the Georgia Department of Education as a 2024-25 Math Leader School for outstanding achievement on the 8th grade Enhanced Algebra: Concepts and Connections EOC!

We are incredibly proud of Ms. Cindy Ray and her students, as well as the math department who collaborates and supports the math growth of all of our students while they attend RMS!

Congratulations to the Rome Middle School Exemplary Persons of the Month for October! Our exemplary teacher of the month is Ms. Lauren Davis. Rome Middle School's next PBIS event will be November 21, 2025, during Connections. This month, we are hosting a super fun cookie decorating party. Students who qualify cannot have ISS or OSS from 11/1 to 11/20, must have no more than 2 unexcused absences, and need to earn 7/10 points in both Wolf Blitz classes each week.

Rome City Schools is having a family game night from 5:30-6:30 at Rome High School's CCA on Thursday, November 13. Join us for a night of family fun! Hope to see you there!

Our district is hosting a Food Drive to support our families. If you’d like to participate, please drop off your donated items at RMS or take them to the designated drop off location (CCA). Please see the flyer for more information.

Rome City Schools is having a winter coat drive during the month of November. Donations of new or gently used coats are appreciated! Please drop them off at the Rome CCA building or contact Ms. Wilson for more information.

It is the goal of Rome city School to read 8 million minutes during the 2025-2026 school year. Rome Middle School is working toward their own goal of ONE million minutes. So far, students have logged 211,760 minutes in Beanstack.
